Hire a boat from Loch Goil Cruisers for seal spotting or fishing, head off on a number of marked walking trails, enjoy a round of golf at Drimsynie, or how about a games of lawn bowls – all are nearby. Be sure to check out the leisure centre with it’s choice of indoor and outdoor activities. For Entertainment The Goil Inn has live music most Friday nights. The nearby holiday park also has regular entertainment, including fun-times for the youngsters. There are a number of eating out options in the village and at the holiday park.

Just eighteen miles away, on the beaches of nearby Loch Fyne, is Inverary, home of the Duke of Argyll and known for its renowned castle. Both the boat connections to Islay and Arran and Oban are 90 minutes of breathtaking driving.

Fyne Byre with Hot Tub, Strathlachlan
A beautiful and stylish open planned, barn conversion, renovated by the owners Samantha, Interior Designer and her husband Ian. Was once part of a working Dairy Farm that housed cows and Clydesdale Horses for pulling the milk float around the village. With working farm next door you are surrounded by farm animals as well as the local wildlife, golden and sea eagles, Red Deer, Pine Martins and Red Squirrells.
You arrive at the cottage via the shared gate with Leanach Farmhouse. Parking to the front of the cottage for 2 cars, 3rd can be parked at front of Farmhouse. Hot Tub on decking, built in BBQ with a seating area and fire pit to the front of the cottage, private secluded garden to the rear with seating and stunning views.
The cottage is on one level. Ramp access from the parking area.

Creggans Cottage, Strachur
Creggans Cottage is a recently refurbished semi-detached dwelling based in a fantastic village location right on the shores of Loch Fyne. Modernised to an extremely high standard this charming cottage was once the village shop.
Sleeping up to six people, it is thoughtfully decorated and furnished to provide guests both a practical and comfortable base for exploring this quaint village and surrounding areas of natural beauty.
Just steps away are the shores of Loch Fyne, ideal for beach combing and water activities (bring your paddle board or kayak) and you have the Creggans Inn on your doorstep should you want to eat out or enjoy a drink whilst taking in the views.
The cottage has a large open plan, fully equipped kitchen and living area which is ideal for families and friends to socialise, and doors open on to a fabulous stoned patio at the front of the property, looking on to the Loch. There is also a secluded rear garden area with seating and BBQ for your enjoyment. The lounge area features large wall mounted TV and impressive electric fire-place.
There is a utility room off the kitchen with plenty of storage and washing machine.
The cottage has three bedrooms, the first downstairs with a king sized bed, next door there is a large bathroom with corner bath and walk in shower. Upstairs has a twin room with two single beds and opposite a larger bedroom with king size bed and balcony overlooking the Loch. Large ensuite shower room.
This idyllic property is located 1 hour and 20mins from Glasgow and is a great base to explore Argylls secret coast. The area has lots to do with lots of forest walks and mountain bike trails to explore. In the village of Strachur itself there is a traditional pub, hotel/restaurant, a well stocked village shop with adjoining bistro tearoom, and a petrol station with small supermarket.
As mentioned above, Creggans Cottage was once the village shop called “Morrisons”. The current owners took on a large project as the property had become rather run down and needed extensive works to bring it up to the incredible standard they have achieved. You will find beautiful copies of old photographs in the cottage of how it looked when it was a shop.

Rhumhor is a majestic house sitting in a prominent position on the banks of Loch Goil. Five comfortable bedrooms sleep up to 9 people. The house features a huge family room with pool table, where everyone can gather, fairy tale turrets and beach side lawn all of which make it truly unique. In addition, the house boasts a 6 person hot tub with stunning loch views - the icing on the cake for the perfect relaxing get together!
All the peace and tranquillity the Highlands has to offer but just over an hour from Glasgow. Rhumhor House in Carrick Castle sits peacefully on the shores of Loch Goil, in the Argyll Forest Park and within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It is a short drive to the nearest village shop and the leisure estate of Drimsynie which has a restaurant, bars, regular family entertainment, indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, quad biking, archery, bowling and other activities. There are two outdoor activity centres in the glen offering a wide range of exciting activities. A short walk from Drimsynie is the charming village of Lochgoilhead where you will find a village post office, medical centre and village inns. A taxi service is available in the glen.
Loch Goil is the ideal location to tour and explore the West of Scotland. Getting to Loch Goil is simple and you will see some spectacular scenery on your journey to this glen.
Glasgow International Airport is just over one hour’s drive and car hire is available at the airport or there is a taxi based in Lochgoilhead which may be booked in advance.

Directions
From Glasgow, cross the Erskine Bridge keeping to the left taking the exit for Crianlarich. Continue straight, going through Dumbarton and take the A82 following the side of Loch Lomond to Tarbet. Then follow the A83 through Arrochar (2 miles) and on to the ‘Rest and Be Thankful’ (6 miles). Turn left toward Lochgoilhead and follow the road down to a give way sign, turning left towards Lochgoilhead. On approaching Lochgoilhead you will see a sign for Carrick Castle (the house is precisely 4.5 miles from this sign). Follow the road along the edge of the Loch towards Carrick Castle.

Hiking is available on the door step if you want to walk around the glen or up into the woods. The Loch Lomond and Cowal way is very close by too for a longer distance hike. If you love wildlife we have our own wildlife hide in the garden and often see Pine Marten, Red Squirrels, Tawny Owls and loads of woodland birds.

There are also many local sight-seeing activities, from visiting historic castles to stunning famous gardens and forests. It is also a great launch pad to visit much of Argyll’s famous scenery, lochs, mountains and coast.
The cottage is also an Eco-friendly home, using an electric boiler and central heating system and we encourage the use of only environmentally friendly cleaning products which are provided. Energy use is from renewable sources only so that we minimise the cottage’s impact on the environment.

A stylish, modern, two-story apartment that was built to resemble a townhouse. Located in the charming village of Lochgoilhead with many activities and great places to eat.
Fantastic open concept kitchen/dining and lounge room are located on the lower level. Fully-equipped and roomy, ideal for a family or group of friends. Downstairs loo and spacious hallway with stairs.
Three spacious bedrooms with built-in wardrobes are located on the upper level. There is a seating space in the main bedroom. Family bathroom including an overhead shower and bathtub.
Sleeps six, although a travel cot and high chair for a wee one are supplied.
This property features an excellent porch area for bikes and kayaks, as well as a front door on the street side with parking. There is one assigned parking place and a staircase leading up to the rear entrance. Small seating area to the front and grassed area at the back, also with seating. Views of Mountains and Hills and only steps from the shore.
The apartment can be entered from the street front where there are ample parking spaces. There are two flights of stairs to reach the entrance door.
